Tradition - Incense paper booklet
A staple in French homes, Papier d’Arménie is the oldest continuously produced interior fragrance. This natural air deodoriser is made from the dried resin of the Styrax benzoin tree, delicately bonded to paper.
In 1885, Auguste Ponsot discovered the disinfecting properties of benzoin resin during a trip to Armenia. Inspired by its purifying and healing qualities, he brought it back to France, where it has been produced ever since.
The Tradition scent is the original fragrance — a warm, musky vanilla with soft balsamic notes, gently evocative of the Far East. Subtle yet comforting, it creates an atmosphere of calm and freshness.
Produced using traditional methods in the Paris suburb of Montrouge since 1885.
