Its enveloping note is floral and green. Stimulating and invigorating, it is full of joy: its fragrance is symbolic of a spring scent.

It is sometimes called ‘May bells’ by virtue of the shape of its flowers. A rhizomatous plant with small white bells and of the Liliaceae family, lily of the valley spreads in gardens and undergrowth. A single species exists on all continents in various forms.
